I do not really understand the whole point of collecting. But Korean blogger Cho Woong has the most remarkable collection of Star Wars toys I've ever seen.And it helps that he's a damn obsessive-compulsive, as evidenced by how he arranges his collection.
Still, I'd collect memories rather than objects. Intangibles rather than tangibles. Conversations rather than conversation pieces.
Why? They're priceless, nobody can ever steal them and most importantly, you can take them to your grave.
As Chuck Palahniuk once famously wrote, "the things that you own end up owning you."
(Okay, enough of the crap. I'm just sourgraping. I'd kill to have a collection like Cho's. Only that I'd probably collect Transformers toys.)
